The NCard is your all-access pass to campus. UNL has replaced the use of the Social Security number with the NU ID number. The NU ID number is the 8-digit number above the barcode on the front of the card.
NCards are used for:
Identification
Door/Building access
Library
Obtaining parking permits and/or bus passes
Campus Recreation Center
NCard Charge Account
Wells Fargo banking
Educational discounts at area businesses
Faculty and staff have the option of opening a NCard charge account. To open the account fill out an application at the NCard Office in Room 121, Main Level of the Nebraska Union or go online at http://ncard.unl.edu. Merchants across both campuses accept the NCard as a form of payment. A monthly statement will be sent to your campus address to notify you of the amount deducted from your paycheck.
The NCard's Account Services page allows you to monitor your spending on the NCard charge account. To access Account Services, go to the NCard website at http://ncard.unl.edu and click on the Account Services tab. Follow the login prompts to create your account. The NPIN will be given to you at the time the NCard charge account is opened.
Checking Account Option: When you get your NCard, you will be asked if you would like the type of card that can be linked to a Wells Fargo checking account. If linked, the NCard can be used at ATMs to get cash and off campus to make purchases at participating PIN-based merchants. Please review the Wells Fargo section of this brochure for more information on Wells Fargo banking.
Lost or Stolen: If your NCard has been lost or stolen, notify the NCard Office immediately to prevent misuse by another party. Cardholders will not be held responsible for any charges made with the NCard after the time it is reported to the NCard Office.

Enclosed is information on getting the NCard, opening a NCard charge account as well as a banking option with Wells Fargo.
