Students
To Obtain your NCard
- You will need your NU ID number, the NCard Office no longer accepts Social Security numbers.
- You must be registered for classes, the NCard system will verify your registration status before making the NCard.
- You must present one form of government issued photo identification, such as a driver's license or passport.
- You will need to pay the $20.00 issuance fee at the time the card is made with the exception of groups listed on this page.
New Undergraduate Students
Students attending new student orientation will receive their NCard the day of their orientation. No fee will be collected at the time the NCard is issued. The $20.00 issuance fee will appear on your September Consolidated Bill for fall semester and February Consolidated Bill for spring semester from Student Accounts.
International Students
Students attending new student orientation will receive their NCard the day of their orientation. No fee will be collected at the time the NCard is issued. The $20.00 issuance fee will appear on your September Consolidated Bill for fall semester and February Consolidated Bill for spring semester from Student Accounts.
Transfer Students
Students attending transfer day orientations can obtain their NCard.

NCard is used to:

NCard designed to be:
- Permanent
- Valid as long as student is registered
It is recommended that students on the UNL campus obtain an NCard.
Three decisions students and parents need to make about the NCard before coming to NSE.
- Do you want the student's textbooks to go onto the Student Accounts' Consolidated Bill?
- Do you want the student to have the NCard Campus Account?
- Do you want the student to link their NCard to a Wells Fargo College checking account?
New Student Enrollment
- Students will receive their NCard the day of their orientation
- No fee collected at the time of issuance
- $20.00 NCard fee appears on Consolidated Bill from Students Account
Unable to Attend New Student Enrollment
- NCard Office is located in Room 121 NE Union at 14th & R Streets
- Verification of registration
- Government issued photo identification such as a driver's license or passport (Please make certain the student brings photo identification with them)
- No fee collected at time of issuance.
- $20.00 NCard fee appears on Consolidated Bill from Students Account
- Students can submit their photo online and pick up their NCard when they return to campus
- Students can have their photo taken at the NCard Office
Reporting the NCard lost or stolen
- Reported lost or theft immediately
- In person or phoning 472-7331
- After hours, leave a message on the voice mail system
- Go to Account Services and follow the instructions to flag your card as lost (or found).
Prompt action in reporting the missing card will protect the student from improper use of the card and transactions on his/her account if an NCard Campus Account is open. The cardholder may be responsible for transactions made with the NCard until the loss or theft is reported to the NCard Office.

NCard's Optional Services
Talk with your student about money and financial responsibilities before they leave for college. There are lots of spending opportunities while in school and it is important that it has been determined by the family who is paying for what while your student is in college.
- NCard Campus Account
This service allows students to use their NCard as an on-campus charge card at designated University businesses. Monthly balances for purchases made on the NCard are transferred to the cardholder's Student Account Consolidated Bill. The student's monthly spending limit is $300.
