Obtain NCard for New Students

This guide will walk you through how to obtain your student NCard in 3 easy steps. You can begin applying for your NCard even before attending your New Student Enrollment (NSE).

Online & Distance Education Students - Complete this NCard application Form and return it to the NCard Office. Please contact NCard Office if you have questions.

Submit a photo of yourself for your NCard. The photo must meet all specified requirements.

Things to Do

Pick up your NCard

The NCard cannot be obtained without proper identification. Please bring a government issued photo ID such as driver's license, passport, or military ID.

No fee will be collected at pick up. The $15.00 Student ID fee will appear on your Student Accounts Consolidated Bill.

Visit with a banker to learn the benefits of opening a UNL MyStyle Checking account. Union Bank is located on the north side, first floor of the Nebraska Union.

Pre-order your Textbooks

The University Bookstore makes it easy to pre-order textbook in the MyRED portal. Select the Enrollment tab in the navigation bar and choose Textbook Online Ordering button on the page

Can't Make it to NSE?

Things to Do

  • Submit your photo online or have photo taken in person at the NCard Office.
  • The NCard Office is located in Room 121 of the Nebraska Union at 14th & R Streets on city campus.
  • Government issued photo identification such as a driver's license or passport is required to pickup your NCard.
  • A $15.00 NCard fee will appear on your Student Accounts Consolidated Bill.
